I only started strength training at age 42! It all started with a difficult divorce and me hitting the gym as a way to escape the loneliness of my apartment. I had never been a gym rat before that divorce.
I started taking strength classes at the gym for the first time in my life. I was constantly asking the instructors questions about how to do things and why we do it. So, I decided to invest in myself and signed up for a personal training course – purely for self enrichment.
Lifting weights drastically changed how I felt about my body and what it can do. I started doing pull ups in my early 40’s – something I never could do in my younger years!
The transformation that strength training brought me is why I became a trainer at age 43 while having been a jewelry designer for over 20 years.
